Inspiration came from our students themselves. They wanted to bond with each other through games and since one of our teachers (Mr. Stef) is Italian, they wanted to learn about Italian games and what games he played growing up. In the end they thought of the idea of learning about other cultures through playing games!
During class suspension period in 2021, a lot of students lack the ability to socialize. They are faced with the difficulty of having to learn and communicate through an electronic device. Therefore, our students wanted to help themselves and others gain confidence in communicating again through this project. Mental health is one of the most serious problems that is occurring because of covid and class suspension. Therefore it is important that we address the issues and face the problem

What social problems do you solve?
Our project of cultural exchange will raise the students' cultural awareness helping with the sustainable development goal of reducing inequalities among different cultures and ethnicities. The students will learn about different cultural through games, research and experiences helping to understand and accept traditions and costumes of a different country. Moreover our project will promote mental health being through games, a fun environment and positive education. In these times of pandemic, mental health has become even more important for all at all ages and it needs to be treasured and safe-guarded with even more attention.
How do we start from 0 to 1
We will start by learning more about different cultures' traditions and costumes. Secondly, we will experience what we have learnt through games and interactive activities to allow the students to have a first hand experience of a different culture. Moreover, we will get in touch with organisations that will allow us to participate to cultural exchange activities and workshops to have a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.
