About Me
My name is Byron, I'm from class 5E of Lok Sin Tong Leung Kau Kui Primary School (Branch). Our school attaches great importance to STEAM education and organize a lot of STEAM class and activities for us. We are always encouraged to participate in different exchange events and competitions. In this Tokyo event, we have 13 students who will represent our school, and I am very lucky to be one of them. We are smart, confident and creative, I am sure that we will have an amazing journey in Maker Faire Tokyo.
“Maker Faire Tokyo”
The “Maker Faire Tokyo” is an oversea exchange event that will go to Tokyo around four days in October. Through this exchange platform, people from different countries can share and appreciate STEAM works in a festive atmosphere. It's a great honour for me to have this opportunity to participate in this event. I am very delighted because it is the first time for me to visit Tokyo.
This oversea exchange event is about STEAM. My schoolmates and I are going to represent our school to introduce our curriculum and student good works to the public. We are also going to visit some science and technology attractions in Tokyo. I really want to participate in this event because I have always been interested in STEAM and I want to become a famous maker. In our school, we have the young maker lessons every week. I like this lesson very much because we can make a lot of fun through STEAM projects. I think this is an excellent opportunity for me to learn more about STEAM and get a lot of inspirations from great makers coming from different countries.
What I need…
Since our school will organize the whole journey for us (including airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance, visitation fee, tour guide and other expenses), the tour fee (around HKD$7,730) will be paid by my parents. In fact, I want to do something for this wonderful journey, that's why I am here asking for your kind financial support, which will help me make this plan into reality. Thank you very much.
