How heartbreaking would it be to see a plastic straw stuck in a sea turtle's nose happened again and again? As a team of primary school students, we would like to arouse people's awareness to say no to single-use plastic. It would be great to reduce the number of plastics that we produced which harm the habitat of marine animals. We would try to invent edible straw by using different ingredients and would like to introduce these to those restaurants or shops selling drinks in Hong Kong.
Inspiration came from
Recent year, there are more utensils products that are edible and biodegradable. We would like to invent edible straw as well since people only spend less than 1-2 hours on using single-use straw but it takes 200 years to decompose.
What social problems do you solve?
We would like to solve the plastic pollution problem that is very serious problem in Hong Kong when you have a walk on the beach.

We are G4-6 students from VNSAA St.Hilary's School who love and care the environment, especially want to protect those marine animals.
