Our inspiration
Our project is driven by a deep concern for the food waste problem in Hong Kong and the alarming growth of landfills.

What social problems do we aim to solve?
Realizing that many students were unknowingly contributing to environmental harm by wasting food during lunch hours. This realization compelled us to take action and address this issue. As a result, our project aims to create a board game that raises awareness about the food waste problem in Hong Kong.

How do we start from 0 to 1?
Most children in Hong Kong may not know how they could help ease the food waste problem, worse still, the fact that they are contributing to the problem every day. After studying recipes on recycling food waste and several attempts to recycle cooked food, we understand the key to the problem is to educate the younger generations.

To raise awareness among children, we aim to create a kids-oriented board game. Through this interactive and educational game, we hope to inspire individuals to reconsider their habits and make a positive change towards reducing food waste.

How can we attract children to play our game?
- Designed for kids
- Nature-themed and attractive
- Family bonding time so they would invite their parents to play with them
- Fun facts for them so they can learn and play at the same time
- Promote
- Cute tokens to collect

The resources we needed
- A board game designer/ course fee to invite one as a mentor
- Factory to produce the board game
- Retail companies/ online platforms to support the sale
