Air pollution causes eye irritation, coughing and can even lead to premature death. Air pollution can coughing and itchy eyes and cause or worsen many breathing and lung diseases, leading to hospitalizations, cancer, or even early death.
Air pollution in Hong Kong is a serious issue facing many citizens. There are many small interventions that people can take to improve the air quality in their immediate environments. Our group aims to promote some of these interventions and provide information as to why adding more greenery is a good idea.
Our target group is air pollution in Hong Kong. We want to encourage people in Hong Kong to improve the air quality in their homes through adding greenery, specifically CO2 absorbing greenery such as bamboo.
> Bamboo is great at absorbing CO2 emissions.
> It is low maintenance and grows quickly.
> Bamboo has many uses after it grows too large to be kept indoors.
> They improve air quality by reducing CO2.
> Plants help reduce stress and anxiety.
Our students were interested in tackling an issue that hadn’t been addressed before in DreamStarter. So we tried to come at a large scale problem from a grass roots perspective.
To create a promotional booklet. This booklet will include information about our group, our goal, why we chose this goal and why we encourage everyone to have more plants in their homes. Selling plant based products and plants to people along with a guide as to why they should add more plants to their homes.
