Our Inspiration 靈感來自
Our journey began with the review of an incident happened in France, where we saw orcas and dolphins swimming in confined spaces, trapped and left behind in the aquarium while the sea world has been shut down. It raises our concern and we realized something important: these magnificent animals belong to the vast ocean, not behind glass walls. That moment sparked a question in our hearts: What can we do to make a difference?
What problems will it solve? 解決什麼社會問題
Our project, Worlds of Play, aims to solve the problem of educating many people visit aquariums without realizing the hidden suffering behind the glass. By raising awareness, we hope to inspire empathy and action—encouraging people to support ethical alternatives like marine sanctuaries, virtual experiences, and conservation programs.
Awareness is the first step toward change. When people understand the reality of captivity, they can make informed choices that protect marine life and preserve the beauty of our oceans for future generations.
How did we start? 我們如何由0到1開始
We started with curiosity—learning about different aquatic animals, why aquariums exist, and the pros and cons of places like SeaWorld. Then we discovered the news about orcas and dolphins trapped in France. That moment changed everything. We decided to take action by creating dramas, books, and projects to raise awareness about the reality of captivity and inspire people to protect marine life.
Challenges 我們遇到的挑戰
Our journey was not easy. At first, we were unfamiliar with using technology to create digital content and interactive projects. Time was another big challenge—balancing research, creativity, and deadlines was tough. We also realized that to capture more attention and print books, we needed funding, which was not always available. Despite these obstacles, we stayed committed because we believe raising awareness about trapped aquatic animals is worth every effort.
What resources do we need? 需要的資源及人力
To make our project successful, we need support in several areas. First, we require technological assistance to help us create digital content and interactive experiences. Second, we hope to have guidance from someone experienced in drama or stage performance to inspire our students and make our plays more impactful. Third, we would love to invite an expert in aquatic animal welfare to share their knowledge with our class, helping us understand the issue deeply and motivating us to take meaningful action. These resources will not only strengthen our project but also empower us to raise awareness effectively.
